SHOOTING MATCH AT PAEROA.

PAEROA, this day

At the Paeroa rifle range an interesting- shooting competition took place on Saturday afternoon for the Rhodes' Cup, at present in the possession of Sergt. Andrews. The conditions were seven shots at 300, 500 and 700 yards. The match was a handicap and a large number of volunteers took part. The cup was ultimately won by Lieut. Hubbard, from scratch, with 87 points; Private W. Moore coining second, with 80.
