CHRISTCHURCH, this day.
The senior cup crickut competitions were opened here oh Saturday. In the Midland v. United match the former made 212 in their first innings (Strange 46, Bromley 42) and United put on 11 runs without losing- a wicket. Lancaster Park played Sydenham, and the former scored 216 (A. E. Ridley 50, Galloway 49). Sydenham got 44 for eight wickets.
