PALMERSTON NORTH, the day.
The body of a male child was found in the Borough rubbish pit this morning. The child was not fully developed, and, according to a medical reoprt, was born lifeless. An explanation has been given to the police by a medical practitioner rendering further proceeding unnecessary.
