THE BRICKMAKERS' DISPUTE.
CHRISTCHURCH, this day.
The award in the bi'ickmakers' dispute was given this morning- by the Arbitration Court. The following are the principal conditions of the award: —The week's work, is to be forty-eight . hours. Piece-work rates: Moulders, 7/6 per 1000; setters and drainers, 3/9; temperers, 'if. The minimum wage is to be 1/ per hour for workers oyer 22. The pay for boys ranges from 15/ weekly to lOid per hour.
