Sir Joseph Ward, Act-ing-Premier: —"1 very much regret that it is not possible for me to be present at the reunion of the old colonists in Auckland to-day. Had „ been able to be in Auckland it would have afforded me a great deal of pleasure t6 have taken part in the gathering and to have done honour to the old settlers to whom New Zealand is so deeply indebted. I sincerely wish all present an enjoyable and interesting rneijting."
