ARRIVAL OF A FRENCH WARSHIP.
The new French gun-boat Zelee, which left Noumea on the 10th inst., arrived at Auckland at noon to-day and anchored off the Queen - street Wharf. The vessel is painted white and is rigged as a three - masted schooner, with yards on the foremast. The vessel -will be docked here for general overhaul. Capt. Richard is in command. The trip from Noumea was very rough, the seas being exceptionally high. The warship, however, made a good weather passage. The Zelle will be docked to-morrow. She will remain in port about a fortnight.
