The mine manager, under date May 9tn, reports that the ore treated at the mill during the past week has been of payable quality, and has been won from all pans of the mine. Stoping- is proceeding as usual on the No. 1 reef at Nos. 1 and Z levels, and on the No. t reef at No. 1 level, yielding ore of very fair-average value. In the crosscut for No. 2 reef at the No. 2 level a large formation of quartz, ribs and stringers has been cut through, and which, 1 L think, will prove to be the No. 2 reef; at present it is of low grade. A start will be made on Monday with the battery, level.
