A NEW FIND.

<By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)

WAIHI, this day

It is reported that what will probably turn out a first-class claim has been discovered a lew miles; outside Waihi, in a northerly direction, on the line of the reef-bearing country. From a drive already put in over ten feet of solid reef has been cut into, with no sign of the footwall.' The assays have panned out high, and dish prospects show free gold. The claim is owned by a local miner. I understand that a gentleman or mining experience, who has been connected with the London Stock Exchange, and is an experienced expert, speaks highly of the claim, and is. now interested in the. same. The present owner has been prospecting about the property for some time. A considerable area surrounding the claim has been applied for. The water rights, etc., have been granted. Thore is every facility for the erection of the necessary plant. It is probable that a syndicate will be formed, or a company floated on the Home market.
