WAIKATO HOUNDS.

May 21—Pickering s Corner. May 2S—Pukekura. May 31—Tamahere Cross Roads.

On Saturday the meet of the Pakuranga Hounds is to be at the Monument, Otahuhu. Good sport has been had en three consecutive Wednesdays, and the Master, Mr O'Rorke, informs me that the farmers everywhere have treated him with the utmost consideration. He has only once been met with a refusal of country, and that was a cose in which the farmer was not responsible. Having received such support from the farmers, Mr O'Rorke looks to the members to see that their kindness is not abused, and that the rules of the field are strictly observed. Members continue to get Then green coats mtide, and the farmers like to see them turn out. in orthodox style, the more readily to distinguish them.
