WATHI, this day. The" following nominations have been received by the Chairman of the Waihi School Committee for the annual election, which takes place at 7 p m in the Schoolroom next Monday: Key J. J. Bates, Eichard Newdick, Rev" J. Olphert, Edward Ongley, W. H. Phillips; T. Gilmour, D. J. Morgan, James Nicholson, G. Compston, J Lang, J. Coutts, J. Leece, E. \\ ood, G. Golebrook, H. Carter, G. Moyes, J.'Beck. , , Over 30 unemployed were put on borough works this morning. Last evening Mr D. Donaldson, who is contesting the Waihi Mayoralty, addressedalarfe and enthusiastic meeting m the Miners' Union Hall. At the close a resolution expressing confidence was nassed by a large majority.
