ST. JOHN'S LITERARY SOCIETY.
The annual meeting of St. John's Musical and Literary Society was held in St. John's Church last evening-. The reports of last year's work shewed the society was in a sound condition. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —President. Rev. W. Ready; vice-presi-dents, Messrs R. Mortimer, T. E. Price, and Veale; secretary, Mr W. Martin; treasurer, Mr Court; auditor, MrThorne; committee, Miss Bouskiil, Miss Tonkin, Mrs Thorne, Mrs Blomfiek?, Messrs R. A. Scott, G. Parvin, ana Bernard; musical committee, Miss Tonkin, Mr S. Scott, Mr H. Horsley.
