THIS DAY.
Drunkenness.—For this offence one first offender was convicted, and discharged with the usual caution.
Remanded.—Robert Collier was remanded until to-morrow week on a charge of stealing a pair of boots at Avonrlale, value 13/6, the property of Thomas Sadgrove.
Indecent Language.—William John "Hamilton was sent to gaol for 14 days for using indecent language in Queen-street.
Maintenance.—Albert Beswiek was sentenced to one month's imprisonment for failing to comply with an order of the Court for the support of his illegitimate child, the warrant to be suspended for a month to allow defendant to pay up arrears.—A separation order was made by consent against John Daniel Bentley on the application of his wife.—Thomas Tapp was sentenced to one month's hard labour for failing to comply with an order of the Court for the support of his wife, the warrant to be suspended for a month to allow defendant to pay up arrears.— James A. Williams was ordered to pay 2/6 a week for the support of a near relative.
