A STEAMER ASHORE

ADELAIDE, this day. The steamer Franklyn has been beached near Point Malcolm.
She struck something and began to fill, and was therefore run ashore in safety. Assistance has been sent.
[The Franklin is an iron steamer of 730 tons, built at Glasgow in 1880, and owned by the Adelaide S.S. Co.]
