THE PLAGUE
SPREADING TO THE WALLABIES
SYDNEY, April 20. Two fresh cases of plague have been reported.
Tie latest development is the closing of the Zoological Gardens owing to the discovery that a wallaby is suffering from plague. The death of a number of herbiverous animals in the gardens recently led to ,an investigation. Plague is supposed to have been contracted from rat-infested fodder.

A hundred cases of plagvie have occurred up to the present date. Then* were twenty-six deaths, thii'ty-seven discharged.
