WAIHI RUGBY UNION.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)

WAIHI, this day. At a meeting of the Waihi Rugby Union it was decided to remove the disqualifications from the members of the West Club, and it was decided to affiliate with the Thames. After some discussion it was resolved to allow the Waikiiio Club to join the Waihi Union, providing that three teams be entered in Waihi, and three matches played at Waikino, allowing them two delegates* 75 per cent, of the gate takings at the matches played at Waikino to be given to that club, each team paying its own expenses. It was decided that local club matches should commence on the 10th of May.

The first football match this season, between the Karangahake Juniors and Waihi, was played on Saturday afternoon, on the Waihi Recreation Reserve. The visitors won by 3 to nil.
