On Tuesday we cleared a large number of hides, sheep skins, tallow, etc.
Hides: Sold freely. Extra stout to 6d (no prime); stout, sid to ajd; medium, 4ld to 4£d; light, 4d to 4£d; cow, best lines, 4id to 4gd; wet, 4d; seconds, 3id to 33d; kip, 3id to 4d; calf dull, from 2&d to 3d; stags, 2d to 23d; damaged, Id to 2id per lb.
Sheep Skins: Green and salted sold briskly, from 1/9 to' 2/2 for good lines; small, 1/3 to 1/6; lambs, 1/6 to 2/3; dry pelts, 9d to 2/6; damaged, Id to 6d; well woolled up to 3/ each. Tallow: Prices range from 21/ to 22/6 for good; fat, lid per lb.
Bones: Best, dry
£4 10/ per ton.
Horns: Medium/S/ to 12/; large, 12/ to 15/ per hundred. Hair: Horse tail, 1/ to 1/2; mane, 9d to 10 per lb; cow tails, 1/6 to 1/9 per dozen.
