ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —Having noticed that the annual meeting of the. St. John Ambulance Association is to be-held on Thursday, 24th inst., might I suggest through your columns the advisability of. making a small charge for admission on that Occasion, the proceeds to form the nucleus of a fund to purchase an up-to-date ambulance wagg-on for use in our city? At the last annual meeting it was suggested that steps be taken to raise funds for this purpose, but so far as I know nothing tangible has been done in the matter as yet. Should it not be in accordance with the rules of the Association to charge for admission a collection, might be. taken up to enable those who are in sympathy with the movement to contribute their mite towards it. Hoping this matter will not be allowed to drop, I am, etc.,

MEDALLION,
