LA CROSSE.

"The"Grafton Club held their third annual meeting on Friday, the 4th inst., in St Sepulchre's schoolroom, Symonds-st. Mr P. Luckie, elected to the chair, remarked upon the success of the club during the past season in securing the championship banner, and had every confidence that the club would gain a prominent position in the championship matches during the coming season. A special hearty vote of thanks was passed to Messrs Wyvern Wilson (late secretary and treasurer), J. A. Kallender (captain), and Wm. Noton (field captain), for their untiring efforts in furthering the interests of the club during the past season. Several new members were enrolled, and the following officers were elected for the ensuing season:—Patron, Dr. P. A. Lindsay; president, Mr Graves Aickin; vice-presi-dents. Messrs G. A. Buttle, David Craig, H. M. Jer-viss. J. R. Reed.. -A.. Seccombe, 4.. A. White, P. M. Thomson, John Reid, Leo. Myers, R. McVeagh, H. C. Choyce, J. C. Smith, Hugh Wallace, and Dr. Collins; delegates to the N.Z.L.A., Messrs P. Luckie, J. A. Kallender, and H. G. Thomson; committee, Messrs Hill, Atkinson, captain and secretary; captain, Mr J, A. Kallender; hoh. secretary and treasurer, Mr G. B:-Ashton; auditor, Mr C. Hay.
