VICTORIAN LABOUR COMMISSION

The Victorian Labour Commission started to take evidence at Christchurch this mornins*. The witnesses examined so far are Messrs George Bowrton, of Bowron Bros.,tanners and feihnongers, Geo. Blackwell, managing director of the Kaiapoi Woollen Co., and F. Waymouth, managing director of the Canterbury "Frozen Meat Co. The witnesses agreed with the principle of the Conciliation and Arbitration Act, but advocated certain amendments, especially in the reconstruction of Conciliation Boards.
