The competition for the senior cricket championship was finished on Saturday, when Tararu defeated County. On the previous day County scored 111 runs. On Saturday Tararu scored 118 /Carter 64 not out, Pratt 16, McGregor 13, Eggington 10). Nearly half of the County men did not turn up, and although Tararu offered to postpone the match, the County men decided to go on. Tararu finished the serason with an unbeaten record.
Foundry 11. met Hauraki in the 'junior competition. The former scored 40 (Easter 16), and Hauraki replied with 28 (A. Martin 11). For Hauraki Rowe took five wickets for 19, and for Foundry Raster took live for 6, and Darrow four for 9. Foundry have lost six wickets for 18 in their second venture. A win for. Foundry will necessitate a play off between the two teams for the junior championship.
