CRICKET.
Hamilton v. V.M.C.A.— The Hamilton, Cricket Club' paid a visit to town on Saturday and t**ed conclusions with the IM.OA.' Club on the I>omain. The visitors won the toss, and decided to bat. Speight and Blamires went to the wickets and -put on 38, but the others did next to notnlng, and the innings closed for 59. V.M.C.A. Replied with 67, of which (Drummond made 2L Hamilton', replied with 91, Livingstone and Dr. Douglas showing good form. T.M.C.A.'s second venture realised 99 for four wicketa, and the town team thus won by six wickets and 10 runs. Livingstone bowled well for Hamilton, and De JBaugh was in good form for V.M.C.A., doing the "hat trick." Arch Hill v. Wakefield.—This match was played on Saturday, and resulted in a win for "Wakefield by 35 runs on the first Innings. The following were the scores: Wakefield, 86 (Maclcay 14. J. Walker 19. S. Magee, not out. 13). Arch Hill, 51 (S. Harvey 10, McCarthy 15). Bowling for Arch Hill, A Clarke took six wickets for 31, C. Barr Brown two for 12, and McCarthy one for 8. For 'Wakefield, R. Magee took four wickets for 30, S. Walker four for 19, and S. Reid two for one.
