Sir,—iAs there is some misconception about the weight of the hammer and shot used at our g-athering on New Year's Day, they were carefully weighed by us this morning (after testing the scales), with the following result: Shot, 161b. loz.; hammer, 161b., 7oz. The (handle measured 4ft., including the head. By inserting this you will greatly oblige.—We are, etc., H.'McCUNE, President. JAS. AGGERS. W. S. FAGAN. The 561b. weight used at the sports was weighed in our presence, and found correct, with chain handle be-1 ing 2ft. 7in. overall. —W. S. Fagan, T. B. O'Connor.
