THE WANAKA.

At 8.30 p.m. yesterday the s.s. Wanaka arrived from Fiji,and this morning berthed at the wharf to discharge fruit, afterwards proceeding to Chelsea. The chief officer, Mr Lindsay, reports that she left Auckland on the Wth ult., and arrived at Suva on the evening of the 23rd; was in the group receiving sugar from the various mills till the 2nd inst.; left Suva ror th-3 banana ports, Rovadraun and Cuvu, on the 3rd, and finally cleared the latter port at 2 p.m. on the 4th; had the Poor Knights abeam at noon on the Sth, and arrived as above. Experienced fine weather and smooth sea from time of ieaving Auckland till the 7th instant, thence till arrival moderate south-east gale with thick, rainy weather and heavy sea.
