Per Wanaka. from Fiji: 14,224 sacks sugar, 8410 bunches bananas. 2028 cases bananas, 399 cases pines, 1 turtle, 1 chain cable, and a quantity of sundries.
The s.s. Whangape left Calcutta for New Zealand on January $Q. . Owing- to rough weather a number of sailing vessels are detained in port. The s.s. Jupiter has sailed from New fork.for Auckland and other New Zealand ports. The s.s. Riverdale sailed for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Sydney early this morning. This afternoon the barque Woosung was floated out of dock and berthed at #2ueen-street' Wharf.
Yesterday afternoon the s.s. Mararoa left Sydney for Auckland, and is due about 3 p.m. on Sunday next. The Tyser liner Reigate left New York on the 3rd January for Mei..^.....j, Sydney, and New Zealand ports. The barque Alcestis went into the stream this afternoon in readiness to sail for Kaipara to load timber for Sydney. Transhipments ex steamer Westralia, from Melbourne and Hobart, and ship Auckland, from London, arrived per Te Anau from the South this morning. The schooner Cooloon, now due from Sydney, has been recently purchased by the Colonial Sugar Refining Company, who intend usjng her as a barge between Auckland and Chelsea.
