At a meeting of the Otago Rugby Union it was decided to accept August 17 as the date of the Canterbury match, and to ask the Southland Union if August 3 would suit for the Southland match. It was decided to offer tie New Zeala.nd Union the net gate takings of the match against New South Wales.
