HARBOUR BOARD.

A special meeting of the Harbour Board was held this aftenwon for the purpose of considering a suggestion made by Mr A. H. Nathan that the opinion of Mr W. Ware, M.1.C.E., be obinined in reference to the foundation of the sheer-legs at Calliope Dock. There were present Messrs. Alfred Kidd (chairman), M. Niccol, A. H. Nathan, J. Stichbury, J. Cozens, and

J H. Witheford, M.11.R. Mr Nathan moved: "That Mr W. Ware, M.1.C.E., be asked to submit a report in reference to foundations for sheer-legs at Calliope Dock Yard, same if approved to be submitted to the Admiralty for their consideration, with the reports of Messrs.
