HARBOUR BOARD.
A special meeting of the Harbour Board was held this aftenwon for the purpose of considering a suggestion made by Mr A. H. Nathan that the opinion of Mr W. Ware, M.1.C.E., be obinined in reference to the foundation of the sheer-legs at Calliope Dock. There were present Messrs. Alfred Kidd (chairman), M. Niccol, A. H. Nathan, J. Stichbury, J. Cozens, and
J H. Witheford, M.11.R. Mr Nathan moved: "That Mr W. Ware, M.1.C.E., be asked to submit a report in reference to foundations for sheer-legs at Calliope Dock Yard, same if approved to be submitted to the Admiralty for their consideration, with the reports of Messrs. Metcalfe and May," Mr j. Cozens seconded the motion, pro forma, . . - - . . , c The motion was lost.
