All the Maoris expressed themselves as well .pleased with the arrangements made by Mr. Parata, and have shown their appreciation by presenting him with several mementoes of the visit.

Mr G. W. S. Patterson, g-urn merchant, of Gore-street, haying taken his brother. Mr E. H. Patterson, of 81 Pine-street, New York, into partnership, the business in future will be carried on as G. W. S. Patterson and Co.
