COROMANDEL.

COROMANDEL, this day.
At the Magistrate's Court to-day, before Messrs Eockliff and James, J.P.s, the case Hoyle v. Alulqueency was heard. This was an information for interfering with horses seized by the local ranger for* the purpose of being impounded. Mr Walker appeared for the prosecution, and Mr Cruickshank for the defence. Mr Cruickshank objected to the formal appointment handed in by the ranger as being insufficient, and after a discussion the objection was upheld and the information dismissed. Devery v. Lynch, claim £6 0/8, for goods supplied. Mr Carnall appeared for the plaintiff and Mr Cruickshank for the defendant. The case turned upon the wording of an agreement which had been entered into by the parties, mutually releasing one another from all claims. The B.nch decided that the agreement did not cover this case and gave judg ment for plaintiff.
