THE WAIORONGOMAI FIND.
Further particulars with regard to the discovery of rich ore in the Premier mines at Waiorongomai show that the reef extends upwards to a height, of 153 ft, and is known to go down for 185 ft. WELCOME JACK. In the southeast stope the lead is 6 inches wide, of solid stone. There is a baud of mullock on the hangingwall, and then another portion of the lead 2 inches wide, with sulphides all through it, and strong gold in the stone. In the northeast stope the lead is 8 inches wide, of fair stone at the bottom, but smaller and poorer in the back of the stope. At the battery the dam has been put in, and the water-race laid to the site of the tank. Kain has interfered greatly with outside work.
