THE GOLDFIELDS.

SHAEEMARKET.

Humdard stocks had good enquiry to-day at late quotations, but no sales were reported. Buyers came in for Kauri Timber paid-up issue at 5/6, and for Leyland-O'Brien Timber at 30/. Gas, shipping and insurance stocks were all in request, but the prices offered did not lead to business. Mining stocks showed little change. Waihis were quoted buyers £6 5/, with sellers at £6 15/, ex rights. This practically means that the quotation is now for the increased issue, totalling 500,000. Waitekauri shares were asked for to-day at 10/, Crowns at 12/3, and Talismans at 20/.
