Most of the visiting Maoris who have been in town, back from the Rotorua meeting, have now left for their homes. About 350 Ngatikahungmm people left Onehunga yesterday for New Plj-month by the steamer Ngapuhi, and the rest left to-day by the Ngapuhi. A considerable number of Ngatiporou and other East Coast people leave for their homes by the s.s. Omapere this evening.

Last Saturday being the birthday of the Premier, a large number of telegrams of birthday congratulations were sent to him by the Auckland members of Parliament and others. The following is the Premier's general reply to the telegrams: —"I thank you most sincerely for your kind birthday greetings and trust ever to merit your esteem and respect."—R. J. Seddon."
