George Rhodes, and Wiglam, ware received by the Duchess in the drawing room at "Te Korabu, where they made a presentation of a handsome'gold and greenstone letter weight to the Duchess on behalf ol Prince Eddy, whose seventh birthday occurred yesterday. VISIT TO THE MUSEUM AND CATHEDRAL.

On Sunday afternoon the Duke and Duchess visited the Canterbury Museum, and were conducted over it by the curator, Captain Hutton. His Royal Highness expressed pleasure and surprise at the size of the irnisoum and the valuable collection of exhibits. The party proceeded thence to the Cathedral* where they were met by Canon Harper, and ascended the spire. STATE DINNER. At the h'rst State dinner given by Lord and Lady Raufurly at "Te Koraha" on Saturday, the following guests were invited and met the Duke and Duchess:—Prince Alexander of Teck, Udy -Mary Lvgon, Lady Catherine (Jrcy Coke, the Hon. Mrs Derek KeppeJ, Lord Wenlock, Sir Arthur Big-ge, [ Commander B. G. Fansett, the Hon. Derek Keppel. the Chevalier d« Marti no. Admiral Beaumont, and L,ieut. McShare (Private Secretary to the Adi miral), General Sir James Fraser Tytlui\ the Premier, Mrs Seddou and Miss Seddon, the Bishop of Christelmrch, Mrs .Julius, Miss Julius, the Hon. Bowen, Mrs Bowen and Miss Bowen, the Hon. Hall-Jones and Mrs HallJones, Sir Geo. Clifford, Bart., and Lady Clifford. Mrs Heaton Rhodes, Mr G. Gould, Mrs Wigrani, Mrs Harper, Mr and Mrs Pyne, Captain Alexander (Private Secretary to the Governor).

At the second State dinner given at "Te Koraha" on Sunday night by His Excellency ami the Countess of Ranfurly, the following received invitations:—Prince Alexander of Teck, Lady Lygon, Lady Catherine Coke, the lion. Mrs Derek Keppel, Lord Wenlock, Sir A. Bigge, Commander Cust, Sir Donald Wallace, Commander Winsloe, Captain Lord Criohton, the Duke of Roxburgh, Mr Sydney Hall, the Hon. Walker, Mrs Walker and Miss Walker, the Mayor (Mr A. E. G. Rhodes), Mrs Arthur Rhodes, Mr Geo. G. Stead and Mrs Stead, Mrs Wilder and Miss Wilder, Mrs Ilawke, Lieut.Col. Byron, Capt. Alexander, Capt. Osborne, Major Bor.

Other members of the Royal party are staying at the residences of Messrs H. ,T. Beswick, Wigram, Bishopscourt, and the Ghi-istcliureh Club.
