THE FEDERAL PARLIAMENT
THE QUESTION OF POSTAL CON:,
TROL
HOBART, June 23.
The Premier's reply to Mr Barton contends that the post office was handed over to the Federal authority for general convenience and not for curtailing the control of local affairs, even though such curtailment were uniform throughout all the States. He further states that the Federal Parliament cannot directly or indirectly deal with any matters outside those submitted to it.
