HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID BOARD.

The ordinary meeting of the Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was held this afternoon, when there were present Messrs A. Bruce (Chairman), J. Gordon, Y. Warren, J. Sfcichbury, J. Court, A. P. Friend, G. J. Garland, and J. Jamieson.

Hospital Lift. — Mr E. Bartley, the Board's architect, reported on the question of putting" a passenger lift in the Hospital, and stated that the cost of effecting the necessary alterations in the building would be about £ 100. — Messrs Chambers and Sons offered to put in a lift for £995.—These reports were furnished in consequence of an offer made tiy Mr Wesley Spragg and otheT gentlemen to contribute £ 100 towards the cost of lift —Consideration of the matter was deferred till next meeting of the Board.
