Second Half.—The Parnellites were slow in getting into their positions, and Somerfield wax quick at getting away the rubber. Kendall and Morrin caught the opposite defence napping, and the last named easily scored first blood for Suburb-. After this the Suburbans attacked with splendid determination, and Somerfield, Kendall and Morrin played to each other like clock work. Rendall netted a neat goal, making the scores even. Matters now livened up considernblv. Ward nnrt Graham looked riangfroim for Parnell, but Thomson secured and threw out of bounds. After the face Morrin "fooled" Cunliffe and gave Rendall a. good pass, which the Suburban home made use of. Mason, McKnigttt and Ward passed the maroons' defence, and Graham picking up cleverly dealt a hot: shot to Thomson, which lip failed to ward off, and once more scores were even; Ft was anybody's game now, and for some time play was confined to midfie.ld, arid both teams were visibly distressed, and continually threw out of bounds, with the evident notion of killing time. Three minutes before the whistle sounded time Somerfield, from the quarter flag, made a brilliant run, evading no less that three of the maroons' defence, and scored the winning goal. The referee then called "No play," leaving Suburbs victorious by 4 goals to 3. Mr H. 0. McCoy gave every satisfaction as referee.
