ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES.

On Saturday afternoon Formula,, La Gloria and WelMoek were given .suiiuu work, and Bacchus, with a light weight up, led Regalia 11. in a good working gallop over about two miles. This morning Formula and La G4orlft each did useful work, and Bacchus and Wellstock were'also allowed to run along at a useful pace. St. Peter and St. Ursula, Winsome, Rosella, Hastings, Honesty, Sundial and Employer, Verdi and Tuirne, Tresharu and Terence, Cavaliero, Vanquish and Fairyhouse did useful tasks. Cannongate went strongly over the last round of two circuits, and so did Favona. who walked off very sore. Regalia 11. on the inside jumped the schooling hurdles and finished up his task all right. Charcoal, Plain Jack and Khama were amongst the first out after breakfast, and were followed by Picklock and Tim, steady work being allotted them. Nor'-west covered three round,'?, the last one moving along at his top pace. Moifaa and Hairtrigger traversed a circuit together. Admiral Hawke, Freewill, Tarragon, Romantic, Lady Avon, Derringcote, Volee and Mount Zeehan each did medium pace work. Rags cantered. Cover de Lion went twice round at half pace. This horse is sore, and has been for some time. Cannonade and Hinau worked together, and Holmes has them both looking well. Starlight did steady work. Dingo moved along at half pace over a circuit. Straybird and Swimmer, together trotted and cantered about the centre of the grounds. Plain Bill and Kaimate strode round the tan a couple of times at a little better than half pace. Both appear iresh. ■ F. Cochrane has charge of Plain Bill 'and C. Coehrane trains Kaimate. Sylvanus, The Needle, Mars. Natation, "St. Olga, Tukapa, Evcret and a number of others were out.
