THE CAMBRIDGE DEADLOCK.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
CAMBRIDGE, this jay
Domain matters are more complfc* cated than ever. Cambridge West wants the Borough Council to take over all domain land, and not that Pukekura Hoard Board should, have: control of the west domain lands, as gazetted. The Pukekura Board met. on Saturday, and resolved to ask the j Government to reunite the domain' lands under members from both Fides, as suggested at a public meeting in April last, but would rather accept the position than the borough should have a newly constituted DomaiiM Board. Cambridge East also had a; meeting on Saturday, at which Mr Wells was appointed chairman, and unanimously passed a motion requesting the Government to accept thu suggestion made by the public meet- . ing-. Members of the Ministry must fhink the inhabitants of Cambridge: district are mad from the wire pulling in aJI directions. Some of thecouncillors now want to get control; of the Domain. In the meanwhile matters are at a deadlock.
