CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The weather' was rather cold for football on Saturday, and the grounds were sloppy after the rain of the previous (hiy. In the .senior niateiui.s. Kaiapoi beat Sydenham by :.'O points to nil, Albion beat Merivale by 21 points to 5. Linwood beat Christehureh by C, points to 4. The points for the championship now stand:—Merivale .", points, Christehureh. Kaiapoi. and Linwood 4 points each, Albion '■'< points, Sydenham 0. DUNEDTX, this day. In Saturday's senior football matches Zingari beat Dunedin by 12 points to nil, Alhambra beat Union by (i points to nil, Kaikorai beat University by 10 points to 5, and Southern beat Pirates by 0 points to 4. Kaikorai, Alhambra and Zingari are equal for the championship.
