EMERGENCY COMMITTEE.
A meeting of the Emergency Committee was held yesterday, when the alterations to the reception arrangements consequent on the changes in the programme for the Eoyal visit were discussed. It was resolved to defer the whole matter until the arrival of Lady Eanfurly, who is expected here early next week. The draw for the positions of the Friendly Societies. and the Orange Society on the intersection of side streets resulted as follows: Manchester Unity of Oddfellows, across i Queen-street, from Milne and Choyce's Ito Parkinson's corner; Ancient Order of Foresters, across Wyndham-street; National Independent Order of Oddfellows, across Wellesley-street West; Orange Society, across Shortland-street. The members of each society are to stand under the decorations on the Venetian Poles. It is understood that the Reception Committee will find bands to play the societies from their halls to their positions, the bands to remain until the reception is over and to play while the crowd is waiting for the procession to pass.
