WARDEN'S COURT.

PAEEOA, tliis day.

The usual sitting of the Warden's Court was held yesterday at Paeroa, when the following applications were granted by Mr It. S. Bush (Warden): —

Special Claims: W. Hollis and Lucas, Coronet Special Claim, Waihi; Peter Conway, Waihi Surprise; David O. Waddell, llavensvvood Extended, Karnngahake (granted to the N.Z. Crown Mines (Ltd.).

Residence Sites Granted: Emma J. Screen, between Karangahako and Owharoa; David Shaw, Owharoa; Michael Mannix. Karangahake; R. W. Upfold, ou Waikino and Waitekauri Road.

Protection Granted: Absolute or partial protection was granted as follows—Waihi Extended, 12 months protection for special site, licenses Kos. 1833, 1834, and 1835; Ohinemuri Syndicate, Ltd., six months' protection for Owharoa, Remuera, Cuba, Thorp, Dawn of Hope and Empress of India Special Claims; Robt. Stackpole, four months' protection for Karangahake South; Thos. Hanley, four months' protection for the Tenilba Special Claim; John Nicholson, four months' protection for the Leap Year Special Claim; B. Barker, six months' protection for residence site license; Thos. It. Trigg1, six months' protection for residence site license 2445; John S. Hope, six months' protection for St. Andrew's Special Claim; Waihi Extended Co., permission to work the Waihi Extended Special Claim with 12 men for six months; Waihi Grand Junction, permission to work the Walhi West Special Claim with nine men for two months.

Waihi Residence Sites: The following applications were granted:—Arthur C. Ilaie, section 577; James Craig, section 850; Mary O'Sullivan, section 858; Thos. Tierney, section 750; David Duncan, section 26A, Waihi South; Thos. McCarthy, section 658; David P. Mathews, section 265, Waihi South; Phillip Newdick, section SOS; Herbert Newdick, section 577; D. J. McGrath, section 70A, Bulltown; Walter Kinsella, section 859, Waihi South; Mary Long, section 715.

Applications Recommended: John L. McLean, Waihi Consolidated Extended Special Claim; Edward Short, Eureka King Special Claim, at Karangahake.
