THE WAIKINO FIEE.

WAIHI, this day.

Betoi Messrs D. Campbell and Holmes, J.P.'s., Edward Williams, on remand, was charged with wilfully destroying his premises at Waikino on tlie morning of the 24th April by lire. r Haslett appeared for accused, and Sergt.. Brennan conducted the ease for the police. William Forrest. District Coroner, was the first witness. He deposed to holding an inquiry on the -3rd of May into the fire. Witness read the depositions of accused, given at the inquest; also the verdict of the jury, • which found that accused did set fire to his premises. The case is proceeding.
