Mr James Aggers, who was selected by the Workers' Municipal Reform League as a candidate to represent City North, had the impleasant experience yesterday of finding that through no fault of his own he was debarred from standing. In order to see everything was all right, Mr Aggers went earlier to the Council offices to ascertain if his name was on the roll. He found it was not, but was informed it would be on the supplementary one then being printed. When Mr Aggers took in his nomination paper yesterday it could, not be. accepted, because his name was not on either roll.
