LIGHT RAILWAYS.

WELLINGTON, this day,
The Premier and the Minister of Works, i-eplying to a deputation introduced by Mr Hogg, M.H.R., urging that a light line should be constructed between Masterton and Weber, said Ministers were not favourable to amending the Loans to Local Bodies Act in the direction of authorising local bodies to construct light lines g as it would be a dangerous policy to pursue.
