WAIKATO MARKETS.
At McNicol and Co.'s sale in the Ohaupo Yards on Tuesday about 400 head of cattle were brought forward. There were not many dairy cows, and only a fair number of steers. Prices were a shade lower for all classes except calves. The following are the quotations:—Dairy cows, £3 12/6 to £6,7/6; 3-year-old steers, £G to £6 12/; 15-months steers and heifers, mixed, £3 4/; yearlings, mixed sexes, £2 9/G; 15-months steers, well bred, £3 10/; calves, mixed sexes, from £1 8/G to £2 4/; good heifer calves, £110/; 2J-year heifers, £3 10/ to £3 15/; fat cows, £5 5/ to £6 6/; fat steers, £7 4/ to £7 15/; cows, with calves at foot, £4 12/; 18-months steers, £3 7/.
