G. W. BINNEY AND SONS' REPORT.
On Tuesday we offered an extra large catalogue of hides, sheep skius, tallow, etc.
Hides: Competition not as brisk as the previous week, and a number of lots were passed. Prime ox sold up to 7d; extra stout, 6d to 6id; stout, 4*d to 4i'd; medium, 4}d: light, 4d; cow, 3gd to 3£d; seconds, 3d to 3Jd; calf, 3d to 4id; stags, 2sd to 2|d; damaged and badly Hayed, nominal. Sheep Skins: Competition brisk. Local green and salted from 1/9 to 1/10; country, ordinary, 1/6 to 1/8; medium, 1/3 to 1/4; small, 9d to 1/; lambs at same prices; dry pelts to 1/6, for shed dried; others from 2d to 9d each; skins, well woolled, 3/ to 3/6.
Tallow: in shipment casks, 18/ to 19/6; mutton, for tanners' use, 20/3; inferior, 14/ to 16/ per cwt.
Bones: Best dry, £4 15/ to £5 per ton. Tails: Cow, 1/10 to 1/11 per dozen. ■ Wool: Sold at equal prices to the third sale.
