OTAHUHU RACING CLUE'S SUMMER MEETING.

The Otahuhu Trotting Club made a commencement with their Summer Meeting at Potter's Paddock to-day, when, despite the unfavourable weather, the attendance is fairly large. The heavy rain which fell yesterday has not affected the track to any material extant. Mr A. K. Harris is In the judge's box, while Mr F. W. Edwards Is acting- as starter. The following are the results:—

Maiden Trot Handicap of 30sovs, 15 miles.—Mr James Othway's gr c The Autocrat, by Albert Victor—Nellie, Syra (Sandall), 1; Martha, 30s, 2; Little Tom. 37s 3 Time, 4.35. Dividend, £1 5/. Scratched: Colenso and Lady Florence. ■Uitocrat was taken to the front immediately after the start, and holding his own for the remainder of the journey won by 3 yards from Martha,,who came very fast in the straight.
