When|| Si was eighteen, I was attacked by in-i ifluenza, and, subsequently, by pneu-| monia. No one thought I would re-i cover, and so severe were my suffer-1 ings that partial paralysis set in. By| degrees the paraljrsis left me, but Is became anaemic. I felt utterly runi down, my face and my lips were pal-g lid and bloodless; I frequently fainted,i| and on hot days could scarcely puti one foot before the other. I was de-i pressed in. spirits, and the anaemia | iseemed to be developing into con-| fsuiftption. I was placed under medi-| cal treatment, but only temporary! benefit was received.
