I * I | The following, is the report to be| presented to the shareholders at the i 39th annual meeting, to be held at 1 twelve o'clock on Monday, February 1 4, 1901: — The directors have the pleasure of | reporting a further increase in thei | consumption of gas, equal to 6 per! | cent., with which they are fully'satis-! 3 fled. The profit for the year amounts! Ito £27,972 0/6, which leaves, after pro-! | viding for the dividend at the usual | rate, a sum of £ 7G23 14/. The directf ors recommend the payment of a diviI dend for the past half year of 7/6 per ?, share on the paid up shares, wiCi - QioIportionate amount on the partly paid up shares. The call made in J-ily last,' together with the sale of 787 shares,! realised on account of paid up capital; £10,806 10/ The premium capital not' carrying-dividend amounted to £9SOS| 31/3. The shares were sold by tender,| and the average price obtained wasf I £13 1/10. .The" tajik for the new gas| | holder has been completed, and the| Iho'idsris on its way to the colony. The| purchase money, except 15 per cent.,jf reserved for contingencies, has beei paid. The net revenue account has| been debited with the sura of £30001 in respect of the old tank, and ihel holder now being superseded. The| erection of a coal store at Freeman'si Bay has been commenced.
