A TERRIFIC WHIRLWIND.

HAMILTON', this day.
Early on Saturday morning- a terrific whirlwind passed over Newstead, extending over several miles In length, snapping bine gnms and pine trees from v foot to two feet in diameter as though they were twigs, hurling them a considerable distance. Out of (50 trees attacked 55 were levelled, as well as a large miruber of fruit trees.
