A larg-e crowd aswinuleri at the Borough Council Chambers lit 12-30 to hear Ihe Mayor read the proclamation of King Edward the VI!., during which all stood uncovered. At the finish of proclamation the assemblage gave three cheers for the new King, anil (he Llauraki iJruss Hand played the National Anthem.
